据北京日报3月21日消息，记者了解到，北京市通州区河东5号调峰热源工程取得了重要阶段性进展，预计将在今年11月前具备供热条件。该工程将打造国内一流、国际领先的绿色低碳、景观和谐的能源供应站，其热源以天然气为燃料，能达到无烟尘排放，氮氧化物经处理后达标排放，对周围地区环境空气质量影响很小。
该工程运行后，将实现北京市东部地区能源结构调整，提高供热安全可靠性以及构建安全、清洁、高效的供热体系，保障经济社会又好又快地发展。
