记者从内蒙古自治区政府召开的新闻发布会上了解到，内蒙古针对冬季供暖期长、燃煤消耗量大的实际，将严控燃煤污染作为改善大气环境质量的重中之重。
2018年，内蒙古全面完成地级城市建成区剩余的127台10蒸吨/小时及以下燃煤小锅炉淘汰任务，燃煤污染较严重的呼和浩特市、包头市、乌海市城市建成区启动35蒸吨/小时及以下燃煤锅炉淘汰工作。
内蒙古今年还完成棚户区改造14.2万户，增加集中供热面积1136万平方米，开展“煤改气”“煤改电”试点，全区削减散煤燃烧63.63万吨。
此外，为打好“蓝天保卫战”，内蒙古今年先后出台《大气污染防治条例》《打赢蓝天保卫战三年行动计划实施方案》等地方性法规。
据了解，2018年1月—11月，内蒙古PM2.5平均浓度30微克/立方米，同比下降6.3%，优良天数比例达到83%。
