记者3日从辽宁红沿河核电站获悉，红沿河核电站6号机组反应堆压力容器近日吊装就位，标志着二期工程6号机组由此进入核岛主设备安装高峰。
红沿河核电站位于辽宁省大连瓦房店市，是中国东北地区首座核电站。目前，红沿河一期工程4台机组已全面建成投产；二期工程5号机组核岛主设备现已完成主管道焊接，正在实施进一步的安装工作。此前，二期工程6号机组蒸汽发生器陆续吊装就位。
据介绍，反应堆压力容器是核电站最重要的设备，是核电站的“核心”，核反应堆就位于压力容器内。该反应堆压力容器高约13米，直径约4米，重逾200吨。其内部容纳反应堆堆芯、堆内构件、控制棒等部件，是维持并控制核裂变反应的容器装置。
该机组运行后，反应堆压力容器将在155个大气压、超过300摄氏度高温高压状态下工作，其制造具有质量要求高、技术难度大、工艺复杂等特点。6号机组反应堆压力容器由上海电气核电设备有限公司生产。
6号机组于2015年7月开工，计划在2021年建成投产发电。
